.Church Plans Quaran-Burning Event on Sep. 11th.

In protest of what it calls a religion “of the devil,” a nondenominational church in Gainesville, Florida, plans to host an “International Burn a Quran Day” on the ninth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks.

The Dove World Outreach Center says it is hosting the event to remember 9/11 victims and take a stand against Islam. With promotions on its website and Facebook page, it invites Christians to burn the Muslim holy book at the church from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

O_o. This church’s event has broadcasted on youtube. how many of you know think it’s going to be a bad day on florida on September 11th? *raises both hands*

.dogs and cats to be taken off menus in China.

The practice of eating dog and cat meat — an age-old delicacy in parts of Asia — could be banned as legal experts consider the first law in China against animal abuse and cruelty, reports The Guardian. If passed, violators could be charged with fines of up to 5,000 yuan ($730 U.S.) and up to 15 days in jail.
Over 10 million dogs and 4 million cats are murdered every year for their meat or fur, according to livestock and poultry slaughtering administration departments in China. Eating both animals has long been viewed as promoting bodily warmth by practitioners of traditional medicine, though today the animals are often simply consumed for sustenance.

.indian woman flushes newborn down airplane toilet.

an indian woman gave birth in an airplane bathroom thursday, july 8, then tried to flush the baby down the toilet according to the Telegraph. the baby was discovered stuck when the plane landed, and the entire toilet was removed and rushed, with the newborn, to a local hospital.

the mother, a 22-year-old unmarried medical student, was arrested in the airport after the cabin crew found the baby. the infant is in critical condition.

what happened to the old days when folks who didn’t want their kids wrapped them in a blanket, placed them in basket and left the baby on a responsible neighbor’s doorstep with a note??

Jesus & Naked Woman on Portugese Playboy Cover.

The Portuguese publishing partners of Playboy are going to Hell. Their July cover features Jesus Christ and a naked woman. Inside the magazine there are pictures of  Him looking at two seminude women who are about to kiss, as well as one of Jesus standing beside a topless woman on the street, according to a posting on www.gawker.com .

Gawker said the pictures were meant as a tribute to Jose Saramago, the Portuguese Nobel Prize-winning novelist who died last month. Saramago’s novel “The Gospel According to Jesus Christ” portrayed Jesus as a deeply flawed and human individual.

Playboy Enterprises Inc. is not happy.  They want to cut ties with their Portuguese partners for neglecting to get the cover approved before publication.  Of course Frestacom-Lisbon Media Publishing, was unable to be reached for comment. Their phone line was repeatedly busy and company officials did not return an e-mail request for comment from AOL news.

What were they thinking??

.no ma’am, t-pain. no ma’am…

rapper t-pain had a chain made of an iced out (“diamond encrusted” for the non-slang speakers) nuvo bottle.  i wondered how much he paid for this until i visited www.sparklingnuvo.com and heard the site’s playlist. it’s t-pain’s verse in jamie foxx’s song “blame it [on the alcohol]” over and over…

“i’ma take a shot of the nuvo, shorty didn’t you know…”

nuvo, i hope you didn’t gift him that foolishness.
