whatever happened to… Monie Love

oh, how i loved my childhood years. today’s generation will never understand. the 80’s and 90’s had the best toys, games, clothing, candy/snacks and unforgettable music by fabulous one hit (or one album) wonders like Simone Wilson with “Monie in the Middle.”

Simone Wilson, better known as “Monie Love” was born July 2, 1970. She was a well-respected figure in British hip hop, and made an impact with American hip hop audiences as a protégé of  Queen Latifah, as well as through her membership in the late 1980s/early 1990s Native Tongues.

Simone currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is the single mother to four children. she also has a radio show on XM Satellite Radio called Ladies First Radio with Monie Love. It airs Thursdays 6PM ET and Sundays 8PM ET.
